Reach new heights with Ignite’s Business Development Officers

Fredericton, NB – Ignite introduces new Business Development Officers for economic growth in key areas of New Brunswick’s Capital Region. 

Ignite, the leading Economic Development agency for Capital and Western Valley Regions, is delighted to introduce a brand-new team to support growing businesses within our region. The new Business Development Officers (BDOs) coordinate and implement business support in New Brunswick’s Capital Region and deliver customized strategies and resources that allow these businesses to thrive and succeed in today's dynamic marketplace. 

Ignite provides end-to-end concierge services to ensure our business community receives the support they need to start, grow, and thrive. Ignite promotes growth by fostering a business environment that supports new and existing businesses, job creation, tailored mentoring, skills development opportunities and access to a network of support tools for business success. 

"We are thrilled to welcome our three new Business Development Officers to our team in the Capital Region” said Andrew Lockhart, Director of Entrepreneurial and Economic Growth. “Their expertise, dedication, and fresh perspectives will have an incredible impact on our business community. We are excited to witness the meaningful growth they will have for our local businesses". 

The new team members include: 

  • Danielle Connell provides business development support in Grand Lake, Arcadia, Oromocto, Fredericton Junction, Tracy, Sunbury-York South and neighbouring rural communities. Danielle’s professional background in farming, food production, and operating her own agribusiness, is combined with nearly two decades of building academic & industry partnerships, navigating funding opportunities and being a professional network builder.  

  • Hannahbelle Weaver is the Business Development Officer for Fredericton and New Maryland. Hannahbelle has worked in economic development for several years and has experience in program development, strategic planning, research, relationship and partnership building, and program and project management.  

  • Sofia Urrea is the Business Development Officer for the Capital Region Rural District, Nashwaak, Central York, Hanwell, Harvey, and Nackawic-Millville. Sofia has worked in business for several years and has experience in business growth and development, strategic planning, market research, program performance measurement, business analysis, competitive strategy, risk analysis, marketing, and project management.  

Adrian Witt, Director of Business Growth and Workforce Development, in the Western Valley Region is actively building a team to identify needs and to support business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Adrian can be found in our satellite office in Centreville, servicing the diverse and thriving Western Valley Region.
